Is Your Wealth Masters Business going to be as hot as the Summer?
Monday, June 8, 2009 at 4:52PM Summer is for sure my favorite time of year. Time to hit the hills, mountains and trails and do some camping, fishing, backpacking and cooking over an open fire. Time to jump on the Harley and hit a few scenic roads around the country. Nothing like the wind in your face as you putt down the road.
The Kids are out of school and are ready for that summer break of fun with friends and family.
So summer seems to rejuvenate us and we all have our outings planned sometimes months in advance, to go explore new locations in our own back yards or around the world. This is a great time of year no question about that.
But what about the dog days of summer we have all heard about? Many of us have been conditioned to believe that summer months are slow months in the sales industry. That it is difficult to make sales in July and August. To this I say Bull you know what!!!
Each of us has the unique ability to capture what we want in life. It is all about how and what we think. If you are already thinking that this summer is going to slow you and your business down, you are absolutely right. But developing the right mindset and backing it up with a solid game plan for success will ensure that your business does not falter in the least going thru these summer months.
I remember in my early days of marketing, I was told that July & August were slow. So was December. So I went into those months thinking this to be fact. My business suffered at these times because of my thought process.
Once I got really good at this game of sales and marketing and was having so much fun I couldn’t wait to get in my office and start making calls, my belief system completely changed. You see, my bank account couldn’t even tell that the summer months or the holidays were upon us. I went into each of those months like it was just another day… another week and another month cause it was. I made sure I always had plenty of leads and people to talk to. I was not waiting for kids to get back in school so sales will pick back up, no way. I was making it happen month in and month out and it WORKED!!!
Summer is a great time of year no doubt about that. We have all made plans for special trips and travel with our family and friends. There is time for both. I remember my best month in the business. I went backpacking in Coyote Gulch in southern Utah for 5 days the 3rd week of the month. I came home with 20 sales and realized I could be the top sales for a one-month period, by exceeding 22 sales. What do you think I did? I called the CEO of the company and told him I was going to set a new monthly record. I rolled up my sleeves and went to work. I knew I had one week to make it happen and I wasn’t just out to break the record. I wanted to set it so high that it would never be broken. When the month ended I had 27 sales. 7 sales the last week alone and my record still stands.
I wanted to share this with each of you, as I want you to achieve all you want in life. You deserve that. Don’t get hung up in the dog days of summer or the holiday myths. Just make it happen and you will not miss a beat.
On another note, I am counting the days till the Wealth Masters International m3 in Dominican Republic. We are less that a month away and I cannot wait to hang on the beach with our WMI Family while sipping a Vodka Tonic with Lime. This event will prove to be off those charts with the incredible line up of talent we have attending this event. I PROMISE THAT BY ATTENDING THIS EVENT YOUR LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!!!
